Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced
Senior Accountant
to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
and working in close collaboration with the
Tax Manager
and
Controller , this role is integral to our quarterly and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, and tax support. The Senior Accountant will also serve as a key liaison with external auditors during the annual audit cycle. Responsibilities
Import financial data from external property managers into
QuickBooks , and prepare periodic reports (quarterly, semi-annual, annual) for multiple real estate entities and low-income housing funds. Coordinate with property managers and lenders to produce lender-required financial reports. Conduct preliminary reviews of quarterly financial statements for seven private investment funds. Review financial data and supporting schedules in
QuickBooks Online
prepared by third-party accountants for a public REIT and its subsidiaries. Assist internal and external accounting teams in compiling schedules and audit documentation for private funds and a public REIT. Manage and monitor the month-end close timeline for the public REIT. Support the CFO in preparing consolidated annual financial statements for a private REIT and its subsidiaries. Compile data and assist in the preparation of annual tax returns under the direction of the Tax Manager. Contribute to special projects as assigned by the CFO. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
CPA certification
is a plus. Minimum of
5 years of accounting experience , including financial statement preparation. Strong understanding of
U.S. GAAP
and its application to both routine and complex assignments. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication. Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
and
Word . Experience with
QuickBooks
and
Lacerte Tax
software is preferred. Proven ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and collaborate within a team. Experience with
partnership tax return preparation
