We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Director to join our leadership team at a behavioral health and substance use facility in Mesa, Arizona. This full-time, direct-hire position is ideal for a physician who thrives on building strong teams, advancing quality of care, and leading with purpose in a mission-driven environment. What You’ll Do
Provide oversight for clinical operations, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary staff of physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals Guide compliance efforts with Title 36, detox standards, and involuntary hold regulations Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing treatment for patients Develop, monitor, and improve individualized treatment plans Share in phone-based on-call rotation Foster a collaborative culture grounded in compassion, accountability, and excellence Stay engaged in ongoing learning through CME and professional development What We’re Looking For
MD or DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry Active DEA license required At least 2 years of post-residency practice experience Prior leadership or medical director experience strongly preferred Knowledge of Title 36 processes, detox protocols, and psychiatric crisis care Strong communicator with proven leadership and decision-making skills Commitment to recovery-focused and trauma-informed care Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $255,537 – $309,200 annually (based on experience) Phone-based On-Call Stipend + Phone Stipend Full Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage CME allowance with paid CME time off Relocation assistance available Robust PTO, 401(k), and other benefits Leadership development and opportunities for advancement Why Join Us?
