Serve as the primary Network Security Engineer supporting the C2BMC Program Plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites Independently research networking and security topics and generate reports on findings Ensure devices comply with STIGs and implement necessary Cyber protocols Implement standard DoD security practices, such as STIG compliance and system accreditation efforts Understand VMware and ESXi STIGing/hardening Be aware of STIG compliance and POAMs Communicate effectively with strong writing and presentation skills, including PowerPoint and Visio Collaborate with other network and system engineers in a team environment Document project design and development efforts thoroughly Collaborate with other departments to explain network security requirements and ensure compliance Learn basics of security hardening for diverse products, software, and applications Summarize, briefing, and propose solutions to security issues for leadership Design security configurations and test procedures Know the NIST CVE framework Have experience with virtualization Maintain an intermediate understanding of security design, development, and testing methods Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, Network Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (preferred) with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at time of application Current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+CE, GSEC, SSCP, CND, GICSP) Willingness to travel up to 10% Understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, and UDP Multicast Experience with firewall configuration (Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto) Familiarity with ACL design and function Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco) Preferred Qualifications

Scripting knowledge in Python, Ansible, PowerShell (Desireable) Solid understanding of JUNOS (Desirable) Prior C2BMC experience (Desirable) What We Can Offer You

Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00. The salary range is a guideline; actual offers depend on factors such as scope of the role and candidate experience.
