Facility in San Rafael, California Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS Certification Preferred Qualifications
Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification NIHSS certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Core Responsibilities
Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities Administers prescribed medications and treatments for cardiac care Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures Maintains patient comfort and safety in telemetry units Observes patients, documents conditions, and notifies supervisors or physicians of status Responds to life-saving situations following cardiac protocols Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care Maintains patient and client confidentiality Performs other duties within the scope of practice Adheres to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency in reading and writing Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC proficiency Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment, push/pull, and bend Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel Technical/motor skills for procedures and equipment use Mental resilience to work under pressure and variable schedules Visual acuity and effective communication Benefits
