Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Santa Clara, California. Responsibilities

Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care. Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients. Observes patients, records conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of cardiac status and response to interventions. Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards, policies, procedures, and cardiac emergency protocols. Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned telemetry patients. Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients. Maintains patient and client confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN. Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC). Current ACLS Certification. Preferred Qualifications

Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification. NIHSS certification. Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position. Summary

The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. This role includes evaluating patient health, implementing care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with cardiac conditions. The position requires strong clinical skills in telemetry nursing, critical thinking, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient safety and professional ethics. Essential Work Functions

Records patient conditions and notifies appropriate personnel of status and response. Responds to cardiac emergencies per policies and protocols. Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients. Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care. Maintains confidentiality of patients and the client. Performs other duties within scope of practice. Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Required Essential Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push/pull, and bend. Ability to work with a variety of personnel and maintain professionalism. Technical/motor skills for assisting with procedures and using department equipment. Mental ability to cope with deadlines, irregular schedules, and high concentration needs.
