Overview
Foley & Lardner is seeking an associate with 4-5 years of business litigation experience to join the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in our Chicago, Detroit, or Milwaukee office. Qualified candidates must be persuasive legal writers and oral advocates with substantial experience in complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts. Responsibilities
Conduct and manage written and document discovery Research and draft pleadings, motions and other court filings Conduct and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for testimony Appear for status conferences and argue motions in both state and federal court Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations Assist with trial preparation Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school In good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction corresponding to the hire office 4-5 years of business litigation experience; strong writing and oral advocacy skills Ability to thrive in a sophisticated, busy, collaborative environment Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional work ethic; comfortable with direct interaction with partners and clients How to Apply

In support of transparency and equity, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is between $290,000-$390,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
