Boeing, ASIC and/or FPGA Design and Verification Engineer (Entry Level, Associate or Mid-Level) – Application via WayUp. The Boeing Company invites applications for multiple ASIC/FPGA Design and Verification Engineer roles to join the Boeing Electronic Products team in Huntington Beach or El Segundo, CA. This is an opportunity to work on digital ICs/SoCs for diverse programs across Boeing’s Space & Launch, AvionX, Missiles & Weapons, Strike, Surveillance and Mobility, and Autonomous Systems domains. Position Responsibilities

Develop FPGA/ASIC designs to support design and verification teams. Implement FPGA/ASIC designs using current design practices and tools, from block-level micro-architecture through HDL coding and physical design realization (gate-level netlists for ASICs). Integrate DSP IP from Boeing’s algorithm team and third‑party IP as needed. Perform static timing analysis, LEC, CDC, linting, and other checks to ensure on-schedule delivery. Develop functional coverage models and perform code coverage to verify designs in simulation. Create self-checking and reusable test benches from scratch using Object Oriented Programming concepts and leverage UVM to build drivers, monitors, predictors, and scoreboards. Support FPGA-based prototyping and validation as required by program and system complexity. Validate designs through hardware integration tests with appropriate test equipment and test-beds as needed. Basic Qualifications (Required)

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited program. Experience with ASIC/FPGA design or verification. Experience with ASIC/FPGA architectural definition, detailed design implementation, and functional verification using SystemVerilog, with delivery of production designs. Experience with hardware-based integration and test of ASIC/FPGA designs. Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

1+ year or 3+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree in EE, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience with hardware emulators (e.g., Palladium). Proficiency with hardware verification languages: SystemVerilog, SystemVerilog Assertions. Ability to execute test plans; proficiency with object-oriented programming concepts (inheritance, polymorphism); ability to create self-checking and reusable testbenches from scratch. Experience developing Functional Coverage Models and closing code coverage. Experience with high-speed SerDes interfaces (JESD204C, PCIe, Ethernet). Proficiency in scripting languages (Make, Perl, Python, etc.). Experience with revision control systems (svn, cvs, git) and Linux environments. Familiarity with space-based design techniques and radiation mitigation; demonstrated history of first-pass success with ASIC designs. Education and Experience Tiers

Entry Level: Advanced technical education in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry; ABET is preferred but not required. Associate: Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years related experience or equivalent; Master’s may be considered in some cases. Mid-Level: Bachelor’s with 5+ years related experience or equivalent; advanced degrees may complement experience. Work Location and Conditions

Locations: Huntington Beach or El Segundo, CA. This position is on 1st shift and may involve relocation eligibility based on candidate qualifications. Compensation and Benefits

Summary pay ranges (illustrative): Entry Level $70,550 – $95,450; Associate $85,850 – $116,150; Mid-Level $104,550 – $141,450.
