The Division of Cardiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for an Open Rank, Fixed-Term, Tenure or Tenure Track or Variable Track Faculty appointment as an Electrophysiologist (EP) cardiologist. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the full range of EP procedures including device implantation, ablation, and cardiac resynchronization therapy. Responsibilities will include: performing procedures in the EP laboratory, outpatient electrophysiology, and teaching of cardiovascular fellows and EP fellows. Attending on the inpatient service is also possible if the applicant is interested. Protected research time is available for applicants with a track record in cardiovascular research. There is potential for a joint appointment in the McAllister Heart Institute for those seeking a larger research focus. Location: North Carolina, US. Primary appointment details include: Open Rank, Full-Time Permanent, 40 hours per week, FTE 1.0, with a start date anticipated of 04/01/2025. Perform EP procedures in the EP laboratory, including device implantation, ablation, and resynchronization therapy. Engage in outpatient electrophysiology clinics and inpatient service coverage as needed. Teach cardiovascular and EP fellows; participate in resident and medical student education as appropriate. Collaborate with colleagues in the Division of Cardiology and the Department of Medicine to support program development and deliver high-quality patient care. Minimum Education And Experience
