Overview
Brand Manager - La Vaquita at Dairy Farmers of America. La Vaquita represents the leading Hispanic Cheese brand in Texas with recent expansion in the Southwest. The Brand Manager, La Vaquita will help drive demand for Hispanic Dairy by creating consumer and customer demand across a set of brands, including La Vaquita and Mama Julia, in addition to control brands. Hispanic Dairy is a core priority for the business with a recent acquisition signaling the focus. The role includes helping to build out GTM plans and develop, create, and execute marketing plans in support of long-term strategies. Accountable for helping to deliver the overall business goals, this position supports the cross-functional team across communications, innovation, packaging, and strategy development. Salary range and location: $130,000-150,000; Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing initiatives in support of long-term strategies that create consumer and customer demand
Lead market analysis and participate in GTM planning against long-term strategy to grow both retail and food service opportunities
Lead internal team and agencies from brief writing and timeline development through execution and reporting for media, creative, social media, shopper marketing and other projects
Partner cross-functionally with vice president of the business unit, sales, supply chain, and finance to deliver topline and bottom-line business growth
Drive innovation pipeline creation from research through product commercialization and support
Manage marketing budget from recommendation through tracking
Provide regular analysis and recommendations to guide business priorities and marketing recommendations across various KPIs
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in marketing or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
6+ years of experience (3+ in CPG brand management)
Ability to influence management, lead and support cross-functional teams, and handle multiple projects and brands
Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred
Strong data analysis and storytelling experience
Agency management experience
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Able to think creatively and strategically
Able to problem solve, multi-task, prioritize work activities, and meet deadlines
Able to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals
Must be able to read, write and speak English
