We are the trusted Service Provider for 70%+ of Fortune 500 companies, including industry-leading data centers and providers of colocation and cloud service. Duties & Responsibilities
Provide jobsite construction and technical leadership for large projects Lead a multi-disciplinary on-site team including Project Leaders, Installers, Technicians, Customer Engineers, and subcontractors Represent Vertiv at daily customer meetings and communicate technical requirements for the day’s schedule Lead and support start-up and site testing activities for assigned projects Ensure sufficient manpower on-site daily to perform start-up and site testing Provide daily status reports to Service Management, Project Management, and sales representatives Support project managers with technical data to maintain project systems Maintain safety and compliance with Vertiv safety policies on job sites Adhere to work hours and safety guidelines; use STOP WORK authority as needed Technical Responsibilities
Stay current on Vertiv equipment start-up, commissioning processes, and tools Follow Safety Bulletins, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips Safety Responsibilities
Lead daily toolbox talks, pre-job safety walks, and corrective/preventive actions Ensure adherence to Vertiv Safety policies on job sites Wear appropriate PPE and operate safely per guidelines Report all accidents or injuries within 24 hours Administrative Responsibilities
Adhere to Vertiv Warranty process with Project Manager Provide timely reporting (timecards, expense reports, mileage, SR/task closures, forms) Assist with obtaining technical data for project systems Maintain company property (PPE, equipment, laptops, etc.) Customer Satisfaction Responsibilities
Maintain clear communication with internal and external customers Align customer expectations with Vertiv activity and re-align as needed Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following: ASEET or ASMET preferred; equivalent industry experience in start-up and commissioning of power and/or HVAC equipment; minimum 2 years in industrial construction management; six years of related military experience Strong interpersonal skills: Vertiv behavior practitioner, organizational skills, independent operator, strong verbal/written communication, ability to build trust with customers Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and blueprints Technical skills: site evaluation, reporting, leading technical activities, COHE procedures, on-site testing expertise Computer skills: word processing, reports, spreadsheets, email, data analysis tools Working Conditions
Long-term assignments 4 weeks to 12+ months depending on project scope Travel as required with field rotations; on-site work may include weekends, evenings, and holidays Industrial new construction or retrofit environments Valid driver’s license; deployable for emergencies Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, kneel, crouch, and climb. Vision requirements include close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
