Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Santa Clara, California. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, with a focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. You will evaluate patient health, implement specialized care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with cardiac conditions. Required Qualifications
One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS Certification Preferred Qualifications
Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification NIHSS certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Essential Responsibilities
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; detect abnormalities and respond appropriately Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of status Respond to life-saving situations in accordance with cardiac emergency protocols Document nursing history and physical assessments for assigned patients Initiate patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care Maintain patient and client confidentiality Perform other duties within the scope of practice Adhere to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication Proficient in reading, writing, and English communication Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficient in PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary and move equipment; push/pull and bend as needed Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team Technical/motor skills for assisting procedures and using department equipment Mental flexibility to handle deadlines, irregular schedules, and concentration requirements Sensory capabilities including visual acuity Benefits
