Overview
Corporate Associate – M&A & Emerging Companies (Washington, DC / Northern Virginia). An elite law firm is seeking a Corporate Associate (2–4 years PQE) to join its Corporate & Securities team, based in Washington, DC or Northern Virginia. This opportunity offers high-level exposure to M&A transactions, emerging companies, and venture capital financings, across technology, healthcare, financial services, and communications industries. Responsibilities
Advise on M&A transactions, venture financings, and general corporate governance Draft and negotiate merger agreements, purchase agreements, financing documents, and ancillary contracts Support high-growth companies from startup through IPO or exit Lead due diligence and coordinate with clients, partners, and specialist teams on complex transactions Qualifications
2–4 years’ experience in corporate transactional work (M&A, VC, or general corporate) at a leading firm Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school; admitted (or eligible) in DC or Virginia Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong client service skills Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
$235,000 – $310,000
