NOW HIRING for 2025-26 seasonal positions (temporary): General Manager for our Ice Rink, Heartwood Ice, in Omaha, Nebraska from November 2025 through January 2026. Additional time prior to opening and after the event closes will also be available. Ideal candidates would be available beginning October 20, 2025 through February 15, 2026. Location: Heartwood Park, Omaha, Nebraska Heartwood Park has a new public area known as The Bosque that will host a seasonal ice skating rink each year. The 2025 winter season will be the second season of Heartwood Ice. As a thank you to the public, Heartwood will provide this experience free of charge. Ice-America will be producing the skating rink at Heartwood Ice. Skaters and non-skaters alike are encouraged to apply for this fun and exciting event designed to engage the community during the holiday season. Looking for strong candidates interested in leading a team in a fun work environment. Applicants must have the availability to work during the Holidays, working up to 59 hours a week. Local applicants preferred.
General Manager responsibilities and qualifications: Lead the operations team and oversee all aspects of staff practices, including scheduling, payroll, and daily supervision. Act as a brand ambassador and Company/City representative; maintain client relationships. Ensure safety by eliminating hazards and managing day-to-day operations of a temporary holiday ice skating event. Coordinate scheduling and provide strong customer service, communication, written, and organizational skills. Prefer extensive knowledge of the ice skating industry, rink operations, productions and/or competitions. Comfortable working outdoors in various temperatures and elements. CPR/First Aid certifications preferred, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred. Compensation dependent upon experience, ranging from $24 - $27 per hour ($1680 - $1890 per week). Ice-America, a division of Seaside Ice, LLC, is a creator, producer, and operator of outdoor, temporary ice-skating rinks, and an ice event and television production group. We offer rapid deployment of turn-key portable ice rinks and operations in the US and Canada. We can literally make ice overnight and create unique entertainment events for communities, businesses, and other customers.
