Galvanize has launched its Credit and Capital Solutions business, anchored by a $1.3 billion investment program from a leading institutional investor. The strategy provides structured non-bank and special situations credit, preferred equity, and opportunistic capital to companies and projects at inflection points, with a focus on flexible capital across power, manufacturing, efficiency, and resilience. Target geographies include the U.S., Canada, and Europe, with emphasis on the full energy transition value chain (utility-scale and distributed renewable energy, grid and storage solutions, fleet electrification, energy efficiency, and advanced materials manufacturing). Galvanize is seeking a Vice President or Principal to join its Credit and Capital Solutions Platform. This role involves sourcing, origination, diligence, assessment, and execution of new investment opportunities within the strategy. The candidate should demonstrate early indicators of strong investment judgment and be prepared to lead due diligence efforts, including initial screening, full transaction diligence, credit agreement and legal document negotiations with third-party law firms, transaction closing, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. Responsibilities include training and managing Associates, supporting Partners and diligence for deals they source, and assisting with fundraising and investor partnerships. The VP/Principal should have the personal characteristics needed to build a differentiated network of relationships to optimally source opportunities and efficiently diligence them. Investment Diligence

– Lead diligence processes on prospective investments, including: Designing and leading execution of diligence work plans Diligencing business and financial models, independently leading calls with management teams, customers and ecosystem participants Managing and supervising financial analysis and preparation of materials for internal investment committee conversations Collaborating with internal and third-party resources to inform technical and policy, and other required diligence

Investment Sourcing

– Build and leverage relationships to source deal opportunities across the decarbonization universe including renewable energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, electrification, grid and storage solutions, and more. Internal Collaboration

– Manage the deal process internally including presenting to internal investment committees and collaborating with internal teams (Science, Technology and Impact, legal, platform operations) throughout diligence and execution. External Collaboration

– Support investor partnerships, engage with third-party advisors on portfolio valuations, and work with the CFO and team on fund modeling and administration. Deal Structuring and Negotiation

– Drive structuring, terms negotiation, and documentation drafting through closing, in coordination with deal Partners. Portfolio Support and Monitoring

– Support management teams of portfolio companies in key areas such as finance and business development, and provide introductions and analyses as needed. Leading and Developing Deal Teams

– Play a role in recruiting, training, and supervising current Associates to build the next generation of VPs. Qualifications

Outstanding intellectual capacity and curiosity, evidenced by a strong academic track record (undergraduate and/or MBA) 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or private credit, with a preference for at least 1 year in credit and structured products At least one year of full-time VP-level experience at a top investment bank or private credit fund with direct exposure to credit underwriting and leading closed deals Experience in leading deal execution for credit transactions, including diligence, structuring, negotiations, and managing junior deal teams Strong quantitative background with extensive financial modeling and analysis experience Ability to form independent judgments on investments across sectors and capital structures through thorough credit analysis Strong relationship-building skills across industries and subsectors Desire to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial team References attesting to collaboration, feedback, learning from mistakes, and leadership while in individual contributor roles Candidates with extensive experience in sourcing deals or building relationships in the power and energy sector are encouraged to apply, even if they do not meet all qualifications.
