The Boeing Company **Software Engineering Manager – Flight Controls** to support our Flight Controls and Mechanical/Hydraulic (FCMH) team located in **Everett, Washington.** This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) business organization. is currently seeking a We are seeking a dynamic Software Engineering Leader specializing in certification for supplier-developed software within the Flight Controls and Mechanical / Hydraulic (FCMH) domain. This leader will be instrumental in fostering and sustaining relationships throughout the production value stream, collaborating closely with peers in engineering, operations, and supply chain.
The role encompasses project oversight, software development, implementation responsibilities, and a strong focus on quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in software development, particularly in DO-178 certification for high-criticality systems, along with exceptional leadership capabilities.**Position Responsibilities:**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):*** 2+ years of experience in team building, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions5+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
2+ years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, and business partners2+ years of experience in a leadership role leading global teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, or related field, ABET accredited* 5+ years of experience leading a software development team through the full software life cycle* Familiarity with FAA DO-178, DO 330, ARP 4754 certification* Experience in technical management and oversight of projects and resources* Experience in team building, coaching, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team members* Experience with Electrical engineering and integration of complex applications and software**Pay & Benefits:** The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Summary pay range for Manager Level: $141,950 - $192,050At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
