We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating various acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring the well-being of individuals in critical conditions. Rapidly assess and prioritize patient conditions in emergency situations Perform medical procedures such as intubation, wound care, and fracture reductions Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine the appropriate course of treatment Administer medications and treatments following established protocols Coordinate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions and treatment plans Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment options Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices in emergency medicine Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Board certification in Emergency Medicine Valid state medical license and DEA registration Demonstrated experience in emergency medicine settings Advanced knowledge of acute care procedures and protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts per week No call required Annual Volume: 98,000 patients Daily Volume: 1.5-2 patients per hour 38-bed ED STEMI & stroke center EMR: Sunrise & Dragon dictation Must be board-certified or board-eligible Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary + RVUs Full benefits Medical malpractice coverage
