We are currently seeking an Associate MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Psychiatry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing psychiatric care to patients, contributing to the overall well-being of individuals in need of mental health support. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at diagnosing, treating, and managing mental health conditions, ensuring the highest level of care and support for patients. As an Associate MD or DO, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues. Your role will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress. Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe and monitor medications for mental health conditions.
Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress.
Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings.
Stay current on advancements in psychiatric treatments and modalities.
Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification in Psychiatry.
Valid state medical license to practice Psychiatry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health challenges.
Attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
Call: 1 week of backup call every 8-12 weeks
Patient Volume: 6-8 per day
Patient Population: 16+ years old
Facility: 24-bed inpatient unit
Team Structure: Psychiatrist, social worker, medical students, residents
Must be board-certified
