Controller
to join their team on a contract basis. This is an urgent need due to a leadership transition, and the CFO is eager to bring on a strategic partner to lead the accounting function. Position
Title: Interim Controller Location: Remote Hourly Rate: Market Rate Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the Accounting team across AP, AR, payroll, job costing, and compliance. Prepare and analyze multi-entity financial statements and performance metrics. Maintain and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and banking protocols. Oversee payroll reporting and multi-jurisdictional tax/license compliance. Support capital investment decisions, insurance, pricing, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process. Drive process improvements and digital transformation within the department. Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. 10+ years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting and
with a general contractor . CPA certification or eligibility strongly preferred. Proven leadership and team development skills. Expertise in
Sage 300 / Timberline
and
Textura
payment systems a plus. Advanced proficiency in
Excel
and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, paperless environment.
