Overview
Specialty Representative, Dermatology - Toms River, NJ. This role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. This geography covers Toms River, Forked River, Middletown, Marlboro, Freehold, Old Bridge and surrounding areas. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Base pay range $78,500.00/yr - $192,500.00/yr Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. in order to meet or exceed these objectives. Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and gain calls to action to close on every sales call. Proactively and continuously serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win–win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment and optimize brand strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience; required if no bachelor’s degree (minimum five years in pharma/health/science with three years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred) with a high school diploma/GED required. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; ability to operate in a matrix environment; provides innovative ideas to maximize opportunities. Proven track record in selling with strong presentation skills; adapts selling approach to customer style; contributes ideas for the broader organization and responds to changes. Influences others and is a credible, respected resource; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams; leads by example and coaches peers through change. Documented success in leadership and increased responsibility at district/region/organization levels; uses findings to develop sales strategies. Preferred: success in sales within therapeutic areas; experience in commercial pharmaceutical activities such as physician/account based selling, training, managed care, or marketing; English proficiency for all non-English speaking environments. Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials. HCIR requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses. AbbVie provides resources to help answer questions. Key Stakeholders

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation for this role as posted, with individual pay depending on location and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees. This job is eligible to participate in short-term and long-term incentive programs. Note: No amount of pay is wages or compensation until earned, vested, and determinable; compensation is at the Company’s discretion and may be modified in accordance with applicable law.
