Summary
The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center is seeking a fellowship-trained neuroradiologist (CAQ in neuroradiology preferred). Approximately 75% of workload will be subspecialty neuroradiology with an expectation of contributing to the general radiology workload, including radiography, ultrasound, CT, etc., depending on candidate expertise. To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be considered tentatively but cannot be hired until all requirements are met. Current VA-employed physicians who met the requirements at their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements. Basic Requirements:
United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are unavailable, per VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent from an approved school. Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the US. Residency Training: Completion of an approved residency in Radiology and/or Neuroradiology leading to eligibility for board certification. Residents in accredited programs or those with equivalent experience may be eligible for appointment as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs), with specific limitations. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred: Fellowship trained in Neuroradiology and Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Physical requirements include passing a pre-employment physical, light lifting, reaching, use of fingers, standing, near vision, depth perception, color discrimination, and hearing. Duties
This is an open continuous announcement until filled; applications are accepted ongoingly. Eligible applicants will be referred weekly until a selection is made. The position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), with specific eligibility and application deadlines.
