2GO Advisory Group About the Role Our client, a mission-driven and well-established healthcare organization, is seeking a hands-on and strategic Controller to lead its accounting operations. This individual will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and compliance activities. The Controller will play a critical role in guiding internal controls, managing audits, and supporting the organization’s continued growth and stability. What You’ll Do
Supervise and mentor a small but experienced accounting team. Lead the month-end close process and ensure accurate and timely financials. Drive improvements in accounting systems, policies, and internal controls. Manage payroll operations and benefit integrations (including 401(k) uploads and audits). Collaborate closely with senior leadership on budgeting and forecasting. Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP, IRS, and regulatory requirements. Serve as a strategic partner during audits, banking relationships, and financial planning. Ideal Candidate Profile
5-7+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits compliance, and general ledger processes. Experience in healthcare, professional services, or a mission-based environment. Proactive communicator, effective mentor, and problem-solver. CPA preferred; strong Excel and systems proficiency in Safe/Sage Intacct Experience with Sage Intacct is highly desirable 100% Employer-Paid Medical (Including Dependents) 10 Holidays + 2 Floating Holidays 401(k) with Immediate Vesting Seniority level
