Job Title:

Virology (HIV) Regional Medical Scientific Director The Virology RMSD is a credentialed therapeutic and disease area expert (MD, PhD, DNP, or PharmD) who engages in scientific exchange and research support with external scientific leaders and investigators. The RMSD provides balanced, factual scientific information about non-product areas of interest and responds to scientific questions about our Company's data. The role involves facilitating and developing peer-level relationships with scientific leaders and investigators, supporting data generation activities (including sponsored trials and Investigator Study Programs), and acting as a liaison to R&D leadership. The RMSD reports to the Regional RMSD Team Leader – US Medical Affairs, Global Clinical Development, Research and Development (R&D). Primary Activities

Identify, establish and manage collaborative professional relationships with national, regional and clinical practice scientific leaders (SLs) and investigators to address scientific needs and provide access to medical and scientific information on therapeutic areas and our data or products Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence so SLs have an R&D/Medical Affairs contact within the Company Engage in proactive non-product discussions on scientific issues (e.g., disease states, diagnosis, epidemiology, unmet medical need, population health) to inform R&D/GMA and HH strategy or research programs Facilitate appropriate scientific exchange, integrating knowledge with actionable insights to inform R&D and HH strategies Communicate external stakeholder opinions, insights and feedback on new data and clinical trends to Medical Affairs HQ teams to inform internal R&D strategies Represent R&D at scientific meetings and contribute to debriefs, insight discussions and post-congress reports Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with global Virology strategy Support data generation activities when requested by R&D leadership, including the Investigator Study Program (MISP), by acting as the primary liaison to investigators Identify potential investigators for phase II/III programs and provide scientific support for sponsored trials as needed Provide in-depth scientific support to Health Systems teams within USMA Maintain in-depth knowledge of the disease and therapeutic area(s) through education, conference attendance, workshops and review of key journals; comply with company policies and applicable laws and ethical standards Education Minimum Requirement

An advanced degree (MD, PhD, DNP or PharmD) relevant to Virology and required for the position Experience - Minimum Requirements

A minimum of 3 years in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare environment A minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV (or related areas) with demonstrated scientific excellence Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking and presentation skills Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnights, within the coverage region Skills Required

Deep therapeutic competency; up-to-date with Virology trends Ability to network with external customers, including scientific leaders, investigators and academic institutions, including treatment guideline members where permitted Ability to consolidate and interpret complex data sets, plan analyses, and synthesize results Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and ethical guidelines (OIG, HIPAA, etc.) Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt in a changing environment Preferred Capabilities

Recognition for scientific excellence in Virology through clinical, academic or translational research Experience in both clinical Virology and independent research/publication in Virology; late-stage clinical research experience is desirable 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Virology (MSL or similar) Experience in the coverage region and established Virology stakeholder relationships Demonstrated leadership and ability to handle challenges within authority Strong Microsoft Office skills Remote-friendly; HQ located in Upper Gwynedd, PA with residence within the coverage region Other : U.S. Hybrid Work Model information and travel requirements are included in the posting. Eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement (401(k)), holidays, vacation, and sick days.
