Pediatric Cardiologist with Experience in Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension The Stanford Department of Pediatrics is committed to advancing the health of infants, children, and adolescents through innovative medical care, research, education, training, and advocacy. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Stanford is recruiting a pediatric cardiologist with experience in pediatric pulmonary hypertension to join the Division as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. Academic rank and line will be determined by qualifications and experience. The successful applicant must have a medical degree (MD) or equivalent, with clinical training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology (completed fellowship and board eligible/certified). Advanced clinical training and/or post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric pulmonary hypertension is preferred. Commissioners should have demonstrated outstanding clinical abilities in the care of infants and children with pulmonary vascular disease.
Responsibilities
Serve as an attending physician in the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford (LPCHS). Attend on the inpatient Pulmonary Hypertension Consult Service at LPCHS and provide outpatient clinical care of children with pulmonary vascular disease in the Betty Irene Moore Children’s Heart Center. Provide primary inpatient service coverage on the ACCU unit and maintain a patient panel in outpatient clinics. Participate in multidisciplinary subspecialty clinics where opportunities exist. Educate residents and categorical fellows in Pediatric Cardiology; may train up to one senior fellow in Pediatric Pulmonary Vascular Disease annually. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Pediatric Cardiology, Cardiac Intensive Care, Pulmonary Medicine, nurse practitioners, social worker, and genetic counselor. The Pediatric Pulmonary Vascular Disease Program at Stanford is a leading center for research, diagnosis, and treatment of pulmonary vascular disease in children. The program cares for infants, children, and adolescents via inpatient consultation services and outpatient clinics. There are collaborations with Neonatology, Pediatric Lung and Heart-Lung transplant programs, and the a number of multidisciplinary programs such as Alagille Syndrome Program, CRIB Program, CEAL, and PAR. Educational and clinical research opportunities exist with support from the Vera Moulton Wall Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease at Stanford.
