Associate Director, Cyber Assessment (Penetration Testing)
KPMG is seeking an Associate Director, Cyber Assessment (Penetration Testing) to join our Enterprise Security Services organization. This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical subject matter expert in offensive security, continually advancing KPMG US strategic security initiatives through deep knowledge in network and web application penetration testing, red teaming, and AI red teaming
Enhance the security and operational efficiency of the KPMG US security program, developing cutting-edge strategies to improve productivity and team performance
Act as a mentor and coach, providing guidance, sharing knowledge and support in the development of security talent and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Provide technical leadership to the security assessment team, offering strategic recommendations for security solutions tailored to organizational needs
Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of recent practical experience in offensive security, including network and web application penetration testing, red teaming, AI red teaming, cloud penetration testing, and comprehensive security assessments
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred; certifications such as GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, OSED, CRTO, and Azure credentials (AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500) are preferred
Deep proficiency in applying security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, MITRE ATLAS, OWASP, PTES, and NIST to complex security scenarios
Experience in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, and Bash to enhance and streamline security operations
Familiarity with adversarial machine learning techniques and adept with tools like Burp Suite and modern C2 frameworks to address both traditional and emerging threats
Demonstrated experience as a mentor, guiding and developing junior security professionals and promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
