Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team at Shorrock Gardens. The DON will oversee the nursing department, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care delivery, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
Provide strategic direction and oversight to the nursing staff, ensuring optimal patient care outcomes.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise nursing personnel, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and monitor nursing care standards, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with state, federal, and company regulations.
Budget Oversight:
Manage nursing department budgets, resource allocation, and inventory control.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and promote interdisciplinary teamwork.
Patient Advocacy:
Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and respect are upheld at all times.
Education and Training:
Conduct ongoing staff education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and promote professional development.
Qualifications: Licensure:
Current RN license in the state of New Jersey.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a skilled nursing facility.
Skills:
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; Proficiency in clinical assessment and care planning.
