The Director of Nursing (DON) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the highest standards of clinical care, compliance, and staff performance. The DON will lead, mentor, and support nursing staff, while working closely with other departments to promote positive resident outcomes and overall organizational success. Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction for all nursing services within the facility. Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care. Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania state regulations, CMS requirements, and facility policies. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff to promote professional development and retention. Oversee resident care planning, assessments, and documentation to ensure quality outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families to provide excellent resident care. Manage nursing department budgets, staffing, and scheduling. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required). Minimum of 35 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, clinical standards, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits
