ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE - NNPH (INTERMITTENT)

Provides advanced professional nursing care, including primary health care, diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions, minor surgery and invasive procedures, health education, and counseling. Performs other related work as required.
This position is in the Family Planning Sexual Health Clinic. Experience providing sexual and reproductive health care is preferred but not required.
Northern Nevada Public Health is accepting applications for the intermittent hourly Advanced Practice Registered Nurse position. The position works on an as-needed basis with no guarantee of hours per week or month.
Note: Intermittent Hourly positions are not benefited positions.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing, along with advanced nursing training to qualify for Nevada certification as an APRN.
License or Certification Requirements: Current Nevada RN license, maintained throughout employment. Certification as an APRN with the Nevada State Board of Nursing, maintained throughout employment. For positions within Northern Nevada Public Health: Practitioner Dispensing Certification and Active Prescribing - D license within three months of appointment, maintained thereafter. For positions at the Child Advocacy Center: Additional training and certification are required, but not applicable for this position.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Background checks will be conducted through the State of Nevada and FBI. Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation.
This is an at-will, non-benefited, intermittent hourly position working less than 1040 hours annually. Retired PERS employees should ensure they do not exceed earnings limits to retain benefits.
