University of California, San Francisco . This is a temporary position reporting to the Practice Supervisor. The Dermatology Patient Navigator provides individualized assistance, support and coordination to patients in multiple Dermatology Specialty Practices and serves as a liaison between the referring provider, the patient, and services required throughout the practice. The Navigator facilitates patient care coordination by acting as a communication bridge between the patient and practitioners and services during care. The Navigator is a team player who works closely with others, is flexible and dependable in dealing with changing priorities, and adapts to new workflows and policies related to the growth of Dermatology Specialty Practices. Responsibilities
Provide individualized assistance, support and coordination to patients in multiple Dermatology Specialty Practices. Serve as liaison between the referring provider, patient, and services required throughout the practice. Act as a communication bridge between the patient and practitioners and services during care. Adapt to new workflows and policies as they relate to the growth of Dermatology Specialty Practices. Required Qualifications
Familiar with APeX/Epic Electronic Medical Record. Ability to communicate effectively, both over the telephone and in person. Basic keyboard and computer skills (Microsoft Office) and basic math skills. Associates degree and 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capability (Spanish, Cantonese). Experience with insurance verification (plans), patient financial services, medical record data abstraction, or data analysis. Experience with Epic electronic medical record. Dermatology experience. About UCSF and Benefits
