We are seeking a qualified Family Medicine Physician to join our academic team at Mary Washington Healthcare, located in Fredericksburg, VA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to medical education and provide comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Program Director in implementing and coordinating the residency training program according to ACGME guidelines. Serve as a faculty physician, providing patient care and mentoring residents. Lead and organize the Family Medicine Residency’s mentorship program. Participate in planning, resident and faculty evaluation, recruitment, and curriculum development. Provide teaching to medical students and participate in conferences and community events. Maintain Board Certification through CME activities and exams. Lead quality improvement and practice management projects annually. Provide on-call support for residents (approximately 1 night/week and 1 weekend day per 4 weeks). Qualifications
Board certification by ABFM or AOBFP. Licensed in Virginia. Valid DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Minimum of two years’ experience in GME leadership roles. Strong desire to teach and lead developing physicians. About Mary Washington Healthcare
