Hematologist/Oncologist
to join the Division ofHematology/Oncology. Mount Auburn Hospital cares for patients from Greater Boston, Cambridge and surrounding areas, and is characterized by an exceptional and collegial working environment. Mount Auburn is located on the banks of the bucolic Charles River, a short walk from the Harvard Campus. Cambridge is part of a diverse, artistic, and vibrant community, in addition to being the home of world class universities including Harvard and MIT, and a thriving biotech industry. The Division of Hematology/Oncology’s clinical services include a busy outpatient practice, an inpatient consulting service, a high-risk genetics practice, and an on-site comprehensive chemotherapy/infusion space. There are currently 4 hematologists/oncologists in the division in addition to nurse practitioners, along with a full complement of oncology nurses and nurse navigators both in the office and in the infusion clinic. The role would include general hematology/oncology as well as an area of special interest, especially in breast, lung, GI or GU oncology. We also have on-site oncology social workers and dietitian services. Clinical job responsibilities include providing outpatient care and inpatient consultation services at Mount Auburn Hospital in addition to participating in weekly tumor boards. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population and to participating in the education of our Harvard medical residents and medical students. The Mount Auburn Hospital provides a unique blend of stimulating and rigorous academic medical practice, while maintaining a warm and collegial day to day work environment in a community-based setting. We have a robust network of referring primary care physicians and are part of a multidisciplinary team that includes on site radiation oncologists, oncologic surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and a medical genetics program that works together to provide outstanding care to patients in the community.
