Overview

The General Manager at Hyatt House Los Angeles is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of the hotel. This role ensures the property delivers an exceptional guest experience, achieves financial performance goals, and maintains strong associate engagement. The GM acts as the primary ambassador of the Hyatt brand, fostering a culture of care and accountability while positioning the hotel competitively within the Los Angeles market. Responsibilities

Provide overall direction and leadership to all hotel departments, ensuring alignment with Hyatt standards and brand values. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, growth, and associate satisfaction. Oversee property operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, engineering, and sales. Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, health and safety regulations, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and operating plans. Monitor and control expenses to optimize profitability while maintaining high service standards. Drive revenue management strategies in collaboration with the sales and revenue teams. Review financial statements, P&Ls, and key performance indicators to ensure achievement of financial goals. Partner with the Director of Sales to identify business opportunities and maximize market share. Actively engage with local community organizations, corporate accounts, and industry partners to strengthen the hotel’s market presence. Support sales initiatives through networking, client events, and property site visits. Ensure consistently high guest satisfaction scores through quality service, problem resolution, and attention to detail. Maintain visibility and accessibility to guests, responding promptly to feedback and addressing concerns. Oversee brand reputation management across online platforms and guest satisfaction surveys. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team through effective coaching, mentoring, and succession planning. Conduct regular performance evaluations, setting clear goals and expectations. Promote Hyatt’s culture of care, diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of hotel operations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of hotel management experience, including at least 3 years as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager. Prior experience in extended-stay, select-service, or lifestyle hotels highly desirable. Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, and profitability. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive urban market with diverse clientele. Proficiency in hotel management systems (Hyatt systems experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Compensation

The compensation for this position is $150,000.00/Yr. - $165,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience. Seniority level
