Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturing client to find a full-time Quality Engineer for their plant located just south of Chattanooga, TN. (Dalton area)
Key Responsibilities: Identify and resolve quality or production issues Develop and maintain inspection standards for service parts Investigate customer complaints, resolve supplier quality and internal audit issues. Lead quality activities, including FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and failure analysis Support internal, customer, and IATF audits; lead audit readiness efforts Provide support to Quality Technicians and other staff as needed Track and report monthly internal and external PPM metrics; identify trends and support corrective actions Participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement efforts and monitor KPIs (e.g., scrap reduction, first-pass yield) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or a similar quality role Strong knowledge of inspection equipment & quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA) Experience with ERP, QMS, MES, or other integrated manufacturing and quality systems Automotive manufacturing background strongly preferred
