Adecco is recruiting for a

Quality Technician

to work with a client in

Kirkville, NY.

This is a temp-to-hire position paying

$18-20/hour.

Position Summary

Support the Quality and Production teams by controlling processes, solving problems, training personnel, and inspecting parts to ensure product quality and compliance with safety and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure product quality through inspection, SPC setup, and adherence to control plans and customer standards.

Conduct PPAPs, First Article Inspections (FAIs), and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Identify and quarantine nonconforming parts; maintain accurate quality documentation.

Train machine operators on blueprint reading, gauging, SPC, and inspection procedures.

Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and customer teams to resolve quality concerns.

Support audits, capability studies, and customer data reporting as needed.

Additional Duties

Train auditors and support in-process and final audits.

Approve or quarantine parts from outside operations.

Assist with use of specialized gauging equipment and write sort instructions if required.

Support quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

1-3 years of experience with precision measuring instruments in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Formal metrology training or equivalent on-the-job experience.

Proficient in blueprint reading, inspection planning, and basic machining knowledge.

Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and special gauges.

Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing and walking.

Regular lifting of up to 20 lbs (occasionally up to 30 lbs).

Bending, crouching, and reaching to access part pans.

Fine motor skills required for detailed inspection work.

Ability to maintain close visual focus for extended periods.

Pay Details:

$18.00 to $20.00 per hour
