Dialysis RN Job Details
- Job Title: Locum Tenens Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
- Location: Burlington, VT (with potential float to Barre, VT)
- Setting: Outpatient chronic dialysis clinic
- Assignment Duration: 26 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 4/20/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050–$2100
- Shift Schedule: Rotating 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts; includes night shifts (3x12hr, 4:00–16:00) and day shifts (5x7.5hr, 12:00–20:00); flexibility required
- Weekend Coverage: Every other Saturday as needed
- Orientation: Bi-weekly Monday orientations (next available: 11/3)
Dialysis RN Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Vermont RN licenses considered)
- Minimum 1 year of recent dialysis RN experience in a U.S. healthcare setting
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
- Previous travel nursing experience (no first-time travelers)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation not available
- Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April
- Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays if scheduled during assignment
Dialysis RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to chronic outpatient dialysis patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
- Adapt to rotating shift schedules and provide weekend coverage as needed
- Float to additional Vermont dialysis locations, including Barre, as required
- Ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal healthcare regulations
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing clinical training
