Estimated Weekly Salary

• Weekly Salary Range: $1,530 - $1,640 (estimated, depending on experience and shift selection)

Dialysis RN Job Details

• Location: Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 (Alabama nursing jobs)
• Setting: Hospital-based Dialysis Units (Regional and Northport campuses)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours per week)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/27/2025)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Parking: On-site parking available

Dialysis RN Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses)
• American Heart Association BLS or Red Cross BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in dialysis nursing
• Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Professional Nursing Certification preferred
• Willingness to float to other hospital units or locations as needed

Dialysis Nurse Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer dialysis treatments for patients at both Regional and Northport campuses
• Provide bedside and peritoneal dialysis care as required
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses and certified dialysis technicians
• Float to other units or hospitals within the healthcare system as needed
• Work every other weekend and holidays per schedule
• Document patient care and progress using Meditech EMR
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality clinical care
