- Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
- Location: Marquette, MI 49855
- Facility: 225-bed specialty care hospital (Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics Unit)
- Contract Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nurse Assignment
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
- Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends every 6 weeks
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Unit Beds: 24
- Float Requirement: Yes, to other inpatient units
- Electronic Health Record: Paragon (transitioning to Cerner)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$1960
Pediatric RN Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in adult or pediatric care (pediatric nursing experience preferred)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to float to other inpatient units as needed
- Willingness to work night shifts and scheduled weekends
- Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue
Pediatric RN Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric, neuro, and orthopedic patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, progress, and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality clinical support
- Assist with trauma and post-operative orthopedic/neuro cases
- Float to other inpatient units as required by hospital needs
- Maintain accurate and timely records using hospital EHR systems (Paragon/Cerner)
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and dress code standards
