12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week) Unit:
Med/Surg Oncology, 7th Floor Patient Ratio:
1:5 Patient Population:
Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Weekend/Holiday Coverage:
Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled Floating:
Required within specialty and to lower acuity units as needed Estimated Weekly Salary:
$1790 - $1920 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (first-time travel nurses accepted; preference for RNs with multi-facility experience) Active Maryland or Compact RN license required BLS, ACLS (AHA only), CPI, and NIHSS certifications Epic EMR charting experience preferred Strong clinical skills in cardiac telemetry, central line care, blood product administration, IV management, wound care, and non-titrating cardiac drips Two professional references from recent employers (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN) Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg, Oncology, Ortho, and Telemetry patients Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration); respond to rapid response/code situations Perform EKGs, wound care, tracheostomy management, and feeding tube care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and radiology services Float to specialty and lower acuity units as required Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
