Emergency Room RN Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens ER Registered Nurse (RN)
• Position Type: Travel Contract / Locum Tenens

• Unit: Emergency Room (ER)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: Weekly Wednesday starts beginning 10/1/2025
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Number of Positions: 4 ER RN openings
• Bed Count: 32-bed Emergency Department
• Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1440 - $1540

ER RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent emergency room nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts and thrive in a dynamic ER environment

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care for trauma, acute illnesses, and emergency conditions including fevers, bronchitis, appendicitis, cellulitis, pancreatitis, osteomyelitis, diabetes, RSV, COVID-19, dehydration, and flu
• Monitor and assess patient status, administer medications, and perform critical interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR system
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient emergency room environment
