ER Registered Nurse Job Details
- Job Title: Locum Tenens Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Location: San Angelo, Texas 76903
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 29, 2025 – December 29, 2025)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:00 – 06:00), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820-$1870
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (27 rooms, ~150 daily census)
- Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Orientation: 16 hours
ER Nurse Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS
- Epic EMR charting experience preferred
- Ability to float to other Emergency Departments as needed
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Prior travel nurse experience highly preferred
- Must complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Local candidates within 110 miles not eligible
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Perform triage, patient assessments, and emergency interventions
- Administer emergency medications, blood products, and IV vasopressors
- Initiate and manage IVs, central lines, and procedural sedation
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members (respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services)
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR (preferred)
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols
- Float to other Emergency Department units as required
