ER RN Qualifications – Texas Nursing Jobs

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficient in tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Manage patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1
• Perform emergency procedures including tPA administration, STEMI protocols, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic interventions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, triage nurses, ER techs, and interdisciplinary staff
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and emergency department guidelines
• Participate in scheduled weekend rotations
