Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Location: Salem, MA 01970 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Level 2B Special Care Nursery (S-Birthplace - SCN)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/21/2025 – End: 12/20/2025)
• Charting System: EPIC EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990 - $2,130 per week
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state
• Minimum 3 years of recent NICU or Special Care Nursery nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
• Demonstrated proficiency in Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  
  

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to newborns and infants in a 25-bed Level 2B Special Care Nursery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Operating Room settings
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC electronic medical records
• Deliver family-centered care and education to parents and caregivers
• Maintain appropriate clinician-to-patient ratios: L&D (1:2-3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor), Postpartum (1:3-4)
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
