Telemetry RN Job Details – Salem, MA
- Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Registered Nurse Contract)
- Location: Salem, MA 01970 – Massachusetts healthcare jobs
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (October 5, 2025 – January 3, 2026)
- Setting: Float Pool – Med/Surg Telemetry Units
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights; every other weekend)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: Days/Evenings up to 5:1; Nights up to 6:1
- Charting System: EPIC EMR
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN License (Registered Nurse)
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience (Telemetry nursing experience required)
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips
- TR Band experience preferred
- Ability to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units
- Completion of required onboarding exams and health clearances
Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Telemetry areas (including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, & Overflow)
- Perform cardiac monitoring, measure intervals, and interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours
- Administer and manage cardiac drips for telemetry patients
- Provide care for ED border patients, medication nurse duties in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
