Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Detroit, MI (48236) – Michigan healthcare jobs
• Unit: Respiratory Intermediate Care / Telemetry – Med Surg
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend for travel nurses)
• Shift: 3x12 hour rotating shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Date: September 9, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Pay Range: $47/hr - $61/hr
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (Registered Nurse)
• 2-3 years of recent Med Surg or telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Proficient in interpreting printed rhythm strips and telemetry monitoring
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• BSN preferred

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with respiratory illnesses, substance/alcohol withdrawal, and general Med Surg needs
• Interpret and monitor telemetry rhythm strips for cardiac and respiratory patients
• Provide specialized care for patients requiring infectious isolation for respiratory conditions
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and families
• Communicate essential patient and family information to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in problem-solving and implement solutions for variances from patient goals
