Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250 - $2310 per week
Job Details
- Position: PACU Registered Nurse (Locum Tenens / Travel Contract)
- Location: Ennis, Texas 75119 (Dallas-Fort Worth area)
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
- On-call: Required, 1-hour response time
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license or compact multi-state RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital OR RN experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required)
- Pre-op and PACU nursing experience required
- Ability to circulate in general, orthopedic, spine, ENT, and endoscopy cases
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care in the PACU, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
- Document and monitor patient status; communicate with care teams, physicians, patients, and families
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility
- Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support
- Assess and educate patients and families based on age, culture, and condition
- Advocate for patient safety and well-being in the post-anesthesia setting
- Float to other hospital units as needed and participate in on-call rotation
