  • Assignment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
  • Healthcare Setting: Pre-Op / PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
  • Start Date: September 29, 2025
  • End Date: December 29, 2025
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 10-hour day shifts (5:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,750 - $1,790

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or Pre-Op nursing experience
  • BLS certification (current)
  • ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical healthcare environment

PACU RN Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Pre-Op and PACU settings
  • Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
