Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,630 - $1,750 per week (estimated)

Travel Endoscopy RN Job Details

• Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens travel nursing contract
• Healthcare Setting: Teaching hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x9-hour day shifts (07:30 AM – 5:00 PM), 40 hours/week; variable day off
• On-Call: 1-2 weeknights per month and 1 weekend every 2-3 months
• Case Volume: 10-18 endoscopy cases per day per room
• Scrubs: Provided by facility
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Parking: $20 one-time pass (nights/weekends)

Endoscopy RN Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy Registered Nurse experience (no first-time travelers)
• Active South Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand or proof of application)
• Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Clinical experience with: Bronchoscopy, Colonoscopy, EGD, conscious sedation (monitor/administer/recover), Olympus scopes & processors, PRC Circulate
• Ability to float to similar nursing units as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Travel Endoscopy RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for inpatient and outpatient endoscopy procedures
• Monitor, administer, and recover patients from conscious sedation
• Assist with EGDs, colonoscopies, ablations, dilations, EUS, ERCP, stents, and additional GI procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Float to similar units or sister healthcare facilities as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Comply with hospital policies, including emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June–November)
