  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 4x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend required
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Free Parking

ER RN Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut RN license (must apply prior to submission; allow 15-21 business days for issuance)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I or travel nursing experience)
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
  • Experience in both adult and pediatric emergency care
  • Proficient in dysrhythmia management, IV therapy/phlebotomy (central line care, starting/maintaining IVs), and IV vasopressors
  • Skilled in CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, isolation precautions, and triage
  • One professional reference required
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Local candidates (within 75 miles) not accepted
  • Completion of required modules (2 hours) pre-start and annually

ER RN Responsibilities – Clinical Support

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting
  • Triage, assess, and manage adult and pediatric emergencies
  • Initiate and manage IV therapies, including vasopressors and central lines
  • Monitor and manage patients with dysrhythmias and ventilatory support (CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators)
  • Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols
  • Float to other hospital units as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Document patient care using EPIC charting system

Important: No time off requests (RTO) can be approved from 11/23 to 11/29. Up to 7 days RTO may be auto-approved outside of this period.
