Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 16-week travel assignment in Greensboro, North Carolina. Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities
Administer prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures
Monitor patient comfort, safety, and telemetry needs
Document nursing history, physical assessments, and patient responses to interventions
Initiate patient education on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle changes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Performs other duties within the scope of practice as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
NIHSS Certification
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Skills and abilities

English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; proficient PC skills
Physical ability to sit/stand, move equipment, lift up to 50-100 lbs, push/pull, and bend

Ability to cope with varying schedules and maintain attention to detail
