Main Responsibilities
As a
Tax Senior Manager
on their Business Tax team, you'll focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with their clients, primarily closely held family groups and their individual owners. In this role, you will: Lead and manage client relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Provide high-level review and strategic oversight on complex tax engagements, including forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1040. Mentor and develop Tax Managers and staff, providing technical guidance and performance feedback to help them grow into future leaders of the firm. Serve as a subject matter expert on complex tax issues, developing innovative solutions and staying current on evolving tax laws to provide proactive advice to clients.. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information and complete projects efficiently. Preferred Qualifications Active CPA license. At least 7 years of recent public accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a senior manager capacity. Proven experience reviewing (not just preparing) business tax returns, including consolidated and multi-state returns. Experience with due diligence on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Familiarity with foreign reporting forms (e.g., Form 5471, 5472, FBAR, 8865, 1042). Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and modern tax software.
