Telesales Specialist, RSG • Work from home

Reporting to a Supervisor, RSG Telesales, the Telesales Specialist, RSG is responsible for selling customer registrations in Red Cross community training classes primarily to individuals, and also to small or large businesses with fewer than eight employees (B2C Sales). The position also sells Red Cross Store retail training products and supplies to consumer and business customers.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls for customers interested in Red Cross community training courses or Red Cross Store products and supplies.
• Act as consultant to uncover customer training and Red Cross retail product needs
• Recommend and sell Red Cross training classes and Store products based on customer needs
• Handle credit card transactions and place orders through Sales systems
• Accurately document and update all cases with required call information in Salesforce
• Upsell Red Cross Store products that complement class enrollment
• Handle returns, exchanges or cancellations of Store product orders following policies
• Answer customer questions and address concerns about classes or products
• Responsible for attaining Training revenue o $325K per year and Retail revenue of $80K per year

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma/GED; higher education a plus.

• Minimum of 1 year of sales experience within a Call Center (B2C not required)
• Ability to multi-task across multi-system platforms
• Strong influence and negotiation skills are a plus

Skills and Abilities

• Proven consumer sales skills; product sales experience a plus
• Ability to assess customer needs and provide solutions
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate computer skills; experience with MS Office and Salesforce.com or similar CRM
• Attention to detail; good organizational skills; reliable and punctual
• Time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sales and people skills; customer service and influencing abilities

Pay and Benefits

The Telesales Specialist, RSG role offers a competitive hourly wage complemented by a commission-based incentive plan. Target hourly rate: $16.15/hr. No annual bonus is offered for this role. Salaries are aligned to geographic location and may vary by skills and experience. Specific salary information is reviewed during phone screening.
